Under the official Amr Diab Fan Website title, AD.info was established in
Amr’s birthday night in 1999 by Amr Diab personally and his manager then, Hosam Hamdan Site management was assigned to Abbas Suliman & Mousa Loulou.
Site’s original name was www.amrdiab2000.com. Site was officially sponsored
by Aramusic. Amr’s idea of the site was to provide a trustful source of news to his fans. There were lots of rumors spreaded out about Amr.
The site was
also to provide a communication channel between Amr, his fans, and events
promoters interested in inviting Amr.
By 2000, AD.Info became the most popular website for an Arabian artist and
defined a new meaning for online reouces. AD.info was being cited by Media
Moguls such as MBC, ART, and famous Arabic magazines.
Later that year,
Abbas’s friends Hisem Hagaras and Ahmed Mostafa joined the site staff.
By Year 2001, AD.info became the first official resource for all Amr Diab
news.
In year 2003, Alam Alphan started collabortating with AD.info in
relationship with their superstar’s public image.
The Golden Era
In 2003, AD.info launched its first official Flash version website. The
design was very successful and reviewed in several media sources. The site continued to grow and expand it’s connections.
Later that year, in a mutual decision and due to lack of time and the
increasing amount of responsibility running the sit,. AD.info was shut down
for good.
The Resurrection
As if staying offline was hard for us, Hisem Hagras decided to revive
AD.info. This time, the site was not official. Instead, the site became a
memorial location to honor our friendship with each other and with Amr and
our glory days. Site was designed by Burhan Alkhatib . As if that was not
enough, and under a huge fan demand, AD.info was back into becoming the most
reliable news source for Amr Diab in the worldwide web. AD.info was the
first site to announce the albums new titles, details and exclusive concert
coverages.
Now days, AD.info remain a very respectable and a known Amr Diab location,
and is being cited as a trusted source of news. Site is currently ran by
Burhan Al khatib and managed by Hisem Hgaras. However, collaboration from
previous site members is still visible.
AD.info Staff
Throughout the year, and to prove that the site glory was just dedicated for
Amr and his fans, AD.info staff never tried to reveil more of their
identities, than needed to assist the site and fans. We were convinced that
the site was not about us and we should not try to take the focus off Amr.
